Answers

In my senior year of high school, I had to write daily "journals" for english class. They were nothing but "Would you rather?" questions that we had to answer every day. In other words, busy work. I came across some of these journals today and decided to post what I wrote.
11/26 I would rather have more time to make money than time to nap. I don't do anything while I'm napping.
11/28 I guess I'd rather have strangers mush my food but I don't know why this question is relevant to my daily life.
12/3 I would rather have an encounter with aliens. That would be very, very cool, unless they're the anal-probing type of aliens, then that would suck.
12/5 I would definately choose to marry my first girlfriend. My parents would probably choose a lesbian or a stupid girl. No way!
12/10 I would not like to be voted ugliest classmate. That would make me cry. I would much rather be mistaken for a girl.
12/11 It would depend on the circumstances. If I were poor but had a good story to go with it, sure, otherwise I'd be a fat millionaire.
12/12 I would like to know the answer the three questions. There's so much I would like to know about everything.

Where's my phone?

My roommate wrote this poem.

Where's my phone?

(slow motion)
where's... my... phone?

(quickly)
where'smyphone?

(in rapid succession)
Where's my phone?
Help me find my phone.
Where's my phone?
Where's my phone?
My roommate has a strange obsession with Taco Bell. I HATE TACO BELL!
Therefore, I am making a list of all the things that rhyme with taco bell.

Hell
fell (as in, what happened when you smelled their food and passed out)
smell (as in, taco bell smells)
cell (as in, whoever created taco bell should go to jail)
shell (as in, what you find in your bean burrito, the ammunition kind)
dell (as in, I'd rather be there than taco bell

If you have any more rhyming words, let me know.
By the way, I respect everyone who likes taco bell, it's just not my favorite place.

to the realization of being sick

I'm living in my bathrobe

fingers feel so cold

not eating for my throat's closed

I'm licking out the soup bowl

feel I've lost complete control

nothing but a mind roll

I'm staring at my blank face

so pale I look a different race

It's getting very late

but I have a headache

and my paper's due at eight

I cough up a lung

along with my lunch

on everything I need

and nothing I don't

Dear Sickness

leave me now

before it is too late

and we part for the last time.

First, let me give you a brief explanation about how politics in the United States of America works. Several candidates vie for the nomination in their party. They compete just for the ability to run for office. Only the members of that party are allowed to vote in the primaries. The extreme Republicans and the extreme Democrats who belong to that party all go out to vote for the person who best exemplifies the most radical ledge of that party's beliefs. Then, the candidate for the Democrats and the candidate for the Republicans go out and campaign for the general election. Now, despite all the rhetoric they used during the primaries about how they will continue to fight for the future of their party, blah, blah, blah, they now say that they are tireless supporters of the people and will only do what is in the best interest of everyone, even those who don't vote for them. Clearly, at some point they are lying. Yet we all still go out and support one candidate over another, not because we like them, just because they're not as crappy as the other guy (or girl, though women are underrepresented).

When you go to vote, you decide who you believe will better represent you, or who you believe didn't lie to you, or who you believe won't steal money from the public coffers. Is this democracy?

I have a better idea (in my opinion).

The people will decide on all matters that involve all the citizens of a society. For instance, the people would decide on all budgetary issues but would not vote on whether women can play in the NFL.
The legislature would still exist but would only deal with exclusive issues, giving Republicans and Democrats something to debate about, because that is what they disagree on the most. i.e. welfare, affirmative action, abortion, etc.
The president's power would be diminished and the cabinet's power would be increased to roughly equal with the president's. All cabinet members would have to be approved by the people in the next election, though they may serve up until that time.
